Project Purpose
Fortnite Reload Countdown is a community utility built to quickly show which Reload map is currently active and when the next rotation starts. The project focuses on speed, readability, and mobile access so players can check map timing without opening the game client.
How the Timer Logic Works
Epic's first-party experience_reload Links record defines the published map pool, order, and duration.
A server-side monitor checks it every minute, while this page refreshes the published state every 30 seconds using server time.
- A valid single-map Links schedule is displayed immediately; an ending time appears only when supported by current event evidence.
- New multi-map Links schedules publish their confirmed pool, order, and duration immediately.
- Current and future countdowns appear only when an unchanged prior phase or an exact Epic event timestamp establishes the rotation epoch.
If Links confirms a multi-map schedule without enough information to establish its live phase, the site shows the ordered maps and explicitly says that countdown timing is being verified. It does not fall back to assumed windows.
Update Cadence and Data Source Approach
Epic Links is the sole schedule authority and one versioned, schema-valid response can publish automatically. Epic Communities supplies advisory announcement dates and artwork, while Epic Discovery checks that the Reload experience remains present in the current build. Neither advisory source can veto a valid Links schedule.
Corrections can be reported at support@fortnitereloadcountdown.com, and high-impact inaccuracies are prioritized first.
Methodology Limits
- The first-party Links metadata and authenticated access path are undocumented and may change without notice.
- Links provides order and duration but does not expose an explicit active index or rotation epoch.
- Unexpected playlist experiments or limited-time overrides may temporarily invalidate the schedule.
- Unverified current-map and next-map values are hidden instead of being estimated.
- The browser calculates an offset from server time, so the visitor's device clock is not trusted directly.
- Some high-resolution map files may be unavailable for specific rotation entries.
